Symbiosis Joins Andover College Industry Curriculum Board

Symbiosis is proud to announce its appointment to the Andover College Industry Curriculum Board, strengthening links between education and the creative industries while helping to inspire the next generation of designers.

The Industry Curriculum Board connects local employers with educators to ensure courses stay aligned with real-world industry needs. Members meet each term to discuss creative trends, skills development, and opportunities to connect students with professional pathways.

The invitation came from Carlie Windows, Curriculum Leader for Art & Design at Andover College, who said:

“We are delighted to see Zoe Linscer, one of our alumni, now working with Symbiosis. By working closely with companies like Symbiosis, we can better understand industry needs and reflect them in our curriculum to prepare students for successful creative careers.”

Symbiosis has a strong connection to Andover College — not only through Zoe, but also through Luke Nulty, the company’s Design & Print Studio Manager, and Managing Director Nigel Targett, both proud alumni. Together, they represent the strong creative legacy of the College and the career opportunities available in the industry.

Live briefs, feedback sessions, and work placements

As part of the collaboration, Symbiosis will support live project opportunities for students, including a proposed brief for first-year A Level 3D Design students, giving learners a real-world creative challenge. The team will also attend the College’s end-of-project ‘Design Collection’ presentations, offering professional feedback and discovering emerging local talent.

The partnership will also explore student work placements within Symbiosis, providing valuable hands-on experience in the workplace.

Raising the profile of events & exhibitions careers

Symbiosis will help raise awareness of the events and exhibitions industry — showcasing it as an exciting and innovative sector for young creatives. The team designs exhibition stands, brand activations, and event branding for major brands across the UK, Europe, and around the world.

“As an Andover College alumnus myself, it’s fantastic to see how the College continues to nurture creative talent,” said Nigel Targett, Managing Director of Symbiosis. “Many of our team — including Zoe and Luke — started their journeys here, so being able to give something back feels incredibly rewarding. We’re excited to help students see how their creativity can evolve into a career, and to show them just how dynamic and global the design and events industry can be.”
