Congratulations to Emma on completing the incredible Prudential Ride London 100. The exhilarating 100 mile charity ride gave Emma and her Berkhamsted Cycling Club friends the chance to peddle past some of the city’s most famous landmarks on surprisingly traffic free roads.
Starting at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, they rode west past Canary Wharf, through the City of London and along Piccadilly. Crossing the River Thames at Chiswick, they followed the 2012 Olympic road-race and time trial route before heading out into the stunning Surrey countryside.
Returning through Kingston and over Putney Bridge, they peddled down the Embankment, around Parliament Square, up Whitehall, across Trafalgar Square and under Admiralty Arch before a spectacular finish on The Mall. Phew!
As expected Emma smashed her fund raising target of £500 raising a fantastic £790 for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted. While she rests her aching limbs there’s still time to donate to this great cause by visiting Emma’s Just Giving Page.
